Title: Learn the Benefits and Practices of Troika (aka “Wise Counsel”) Consulting

Tapping into the wisdom of our group is among the most valuable benefits of being a PDX Executive Assembly member. In our membership alone we have hundreds of years of experience in leadership in a range of roles and business settings.

At this event, Executive Coach, Kate Cockrill will teach us a peer-coaching and listening practice that’s used by top leadership development programs around the world (including Harvard’s “Authentic Leadership” program). She will demo this peer-coaching practice and offer tips on how to use it with your own leadership team or professional development groups.

This Troika Consulting (sometimes called “Wise Counsel”) practice provides immediate and imaginative benefits to help colleagues and team members. You can help people gain insight on issues they face and unleash local wisdom for addressing them. In quick round-robin “consultations,” individuals ask for help and get advice immediately from two others.

This peer-to-peer coaching helps with discovering everyday solutions, revealing patterns, and refining prototypes. This is a simple and effective way to extend coaching support for individuals beyond formal reporting relationships. Troika Consulting is always there for any individual who wishes to get help from colleagues or friends.
